My parents were dumb af. Mechanic and nurse. 4 kids and my Dad married a Thai girl so I'll get limited inheritance, hoping for 200k which isn't even enough to buy a 1bdr unit. Dad's Dad was a bookmaker at the races while his wife did nothing, they had 2 kids and Dad inherited about 200k from them. Mum's Dad was an accountant while his wife did nothing, they had 2 kids, Mum inherited about 300k from them. So with inflation I'll be inheriting less than they got.
