Yeah, but I also live in Romania, most of our influential scientists became famous in other countries, the system is simply rigged here.
Let me give you an example: back when I was in university studying biology, since I also knew how to program, I wrote some software to simplify the various statistical methods used for research to automatically generate charts, graphs., etc., when counting the numbers of various animals or plants from a certain area.
None of the professors were impressed, they didn't even know what to make of it, they were old people who never even used a computer in their life, for them it seemed something like cheating, they wanted students to go in the field and actually work like counting manually the number of weeds, insects and other crap in an ecosystem, my novel ideas were rejected from the start, this is what happens with gifted people in my country!
