I remember at university, lecturers would strike (without pay) because there was some negative change to their pensions

• Retirement age keeps increasing
• Many die shortly after retirement or don't even make it that far
• Old age is cope and pointless. You're not meant to live that long. I'm not saying life ends at 30, after that there's children but age 70+? Yeah it's bullshit
• You get a state pension anyway
• Decades of inflation will make initial contributions be worth fuck all in the grand scheme of things
• Your contribution has a big opportunity cost of having that money when young.

A lot of people are so attached to the world they dont actually think they will die. Even in their 70s they still believe they will keep going and going somehow. For me, I could care less as I am not attached
