How do people approach rating?

I feel like sometimes you can just tell but are there any specific features that can commonly be improved without making it look uncanny?

For example, Indians might have bug eyes but is changing the eyes only and nothing else gonna make u look weird?

So is there like a methodological approach to rating? Like ratios people use?
