How do people get angry and violent on alcohol?

For me it’s the opposite. I get chatty and happy and act jolly. How come in movies they portray an angry dad slamming beers talking to himself and beating his wife and kids with a belt because he’s drunk.

When I’m drunk, the last thing I wanna do is fight and act all athletic
