people normally approached me or if I sat next to them I'd ask for help n go on about a common topic

wasn't great at making friends tho but I have had a solid friend group for years

It’s not really something you give much thought. Thats why NT’s will always have trouble explaining how to make friends and stuff

Easiest ways i make friends are at parties or social gatherings.

A work place is also a good plsce to finds friends.

i've seen introverts with friends too

i don't think there's a difference in social anxiety if you're a introvert or a extrovert.

i mean sure they're just meaningless words and i kinda understand i think

During 3-18 it just comes naturally with no effort , similar interests and repetitively seeing each other is the perfect environment school creates.

it's simply social exposure

I got ridiculed for how I was until I eventually grew out of it

your js gonna have to find a new area/group bc you'll never recover in an area where your known for how u were

It naturally happens between first and twelveth grade, but after that it's pretty difficult imo.
At that point if you want to make friends start meeting people from places that you regularly go, e.g. gym

I hated the idea of the gym bc I thought I'd get made fun of but I made friends on my first day and no one really cares

yes yes yes yes that's what i tell everyone that wants to go to the gym. They really don't care, and everyone is super willing to help you.
I almost never met anyone that forgot where they came from and treated newbies badly.

genuinely and I say this as a relatively short and skinny guy

no one really cares,

they're more likely to help you out and if you want you could go with a friend, I had a friend initially help me out and it really helped me settle in
