I live in a pretty horrible crime infested part of the country. I want to move away to a nice rural or suburban area of the country by any means necessary. But how do you actually do this? Who do I call to set up apartments? Who do I call if I want to buy a house in another state? How does the process work? People must do it since people move around all the time so how does it work?

My city is shit and it’s also expensive so I need to move eventually lol

I’ve done it more than once, it’s risky, I had one move that went horribly wrong and I slept in my truck for months. But last time was much smoother because I kept the same job, I transferred locations within my company.

If you don’t know anyone and don’t have a job lined up you’ll just have to take whatever you can get as far as housing, maybe some Craigslist houseshare type thing won’t require pay stubs.

You search for real estate agencies in that town, call and tell them you want to see some houses or apartments to buy...An agent will take you, show you around, and if you are pleased, you just say "I'll take it!".

Is it really that easy? Have you done it before?

It's possible but u need a good 6 months to a year planning to secure yourself something decent

I mean I’m planning to always have a job lined up. I know you have to have the job first and then move
