stress , i smoked in high school but wasn't hooked on it in any way, i was in the comfort of my home , everything was there be it food , leisure , family , friends didn't find a reason to do such thing
however the moment i started college (5 years ago) life gotten pretty stressful from enduring public transport in a 3rd world shithole to attending classes idgaf about to everything , the little access to dopamine with a cigarette felt relieving and instant.

i legit quit all the drugs i tried and that i was hooked on pretty easily , cigs seem to be the only stubborn one of them all.

People misunderstand smoking and drinking . It is not fun for someone who has a decent life but someone who wakes up then goes to do physical labour ,comes back and then the same chores next day. Imagine that, smoking and alcohol are the most fun things in that persons life .
