We speak Hindi outside the school and in between the classes. But mostly hinglish. We learn everything in English, gives exams in English. I’d say an average Indian can speak 3 languages. One his native, second Hindi, and third English.

Speaking many other languages isn’t unique to india it’s actually something most nsrions do, only Anglos can speak one language which is actually weird on the global stage. Even in Europe most Europeans can speak multiple languages (UK the exception)

Theres a difference between being functionally bilingual and academically advanced enough in a second language to be indistinguishable from a native speaker. All other countries that are muh bilingual are shit at their second language and make grammar mistakes constantly. Huge generalisation there bud depends on the nation, but that wasn’t even the question it was simply do other nations use English as their educational language and yes they do, nations which are natrually diverse but brought together through colonialism will use colonist languages as their main lingua francs.
