The only way I can see these phenomenon happening is if the user reps everything and makes a post once in a blue moon

I imagine its a matter of contributing only in meaningful ways or any other context where they'd get a lot of reps
I notice there's a lot of threads where nobody really reps at all and others where all the replies get at least 3 so its a matter of chosing your threads
And people with really high ratios often have a high post:reply ratio (posts obviously tend to get more reps)

I just post normally, no weird shenanigans, and my reps keep going higher and higher than my posts..

I started at having a 1:1 ratio at 1500 posts.. then reaching a 1:3 at 10000.

No repfarming, mass tagging or anything To me it just happens naturally, yet i get accused of repfarming all the time.

Why isn't his rep reset?

Well.. He got a perma ban during that period (not because of rep farming), and it was believed that he would never come back (so no one reset his rep), and he really didn't come back for a few months, but suddenly he used his own..

So he managed to get out of prison.. And everyone pretty much forgot about the incidents from that period lol
