The fault here is your fear of work. Tackle "fear of working" specifically. Where does it come from? In most cases, it's an avoidance tactic driven by anxiety. You’re scared of the discomfort that might come when you actually sit down to do the work, so you find these little fixes to distract yourself from that fear.

That could come from:

• Fear of failing or being judged poorly
• Fear of not meeting your own high expectations or perfectionism
• Fear of the unknown, like not being sure what the outcome will be (that's usually the case for me)
• Feeling overwhelmed by the scale or complexity of the task (that's also a common one for me)
• Past experiences where effort didn’t seem to pay off, so now you try to avoid the pain altogether (that's more of apathy, wrote below)

If you are confident in this not being the case, then it's apathy. That could come from not seeing any benefit in the work, it not being aligned with your goals, or you never getting rewarded for effort in the past.

Find all the reasons. It's pretty hard to dig that up, usually it's more than one.

To help you with this further, I officially curse you to 5 years of terrible luck, and slow and painful descention down the PSL ladder, and for no girl hotter than 4/10 to ever show interest in you. It's in effect NOW. But every curse must have an anti-curse, since world is polar, and for every + there is a -, no exceptions. The anti-curse here is for you to get off Looksmax right now, and get to work to one thing you know you need to be working on. You are not allowed to open any other post, you are not allowed to check your notifications received until you get in at least 10 minutes of work. You have 5 minutes to prepare after reading this, and if you don't start by then, curse is applied. Curses also affect whoever placed the curse, so I now must do the same, or otherwise the balance of this world will be messed up.

This curse ONLY applies to me, and you. This is done so I don't negatively affect a bunch of other lives with my curse, thus getting bad karma from this. Currently, this is a karma-neutral action.
