First you say hi, then she'll answer. If she asks you a question in her response just answer and keep up the conversation on whatever subject she started talking about. If she doesn't ask you anything just say something like "How long have you been studying x?" "Do you like it?" and she'll probably ask what you're doing.
I am not on Tinder, but my 5'8" normie friend is and it works very well for him, not kidding again
