How do you ascend in an appealing way instead of looking uncanny?

I’ve noticed a lot of looksmaxers try to ascend but end up looking kind of uncanny instead of actually appealing.
Examples would be Nocturnalkent or Androgenic, while someone like Hateeeq managed to improve but still looks natural and balanced.


So what do you guys think?
How do you ascend in a way that stays appealing and not uncanny?
And what should someone keep in mind before trying to ascend so they don’t mess up their look?
