How do you deal with being mediocre?

When I was a kid I wanted to become really good at something, didn't even matter what. Not only for the respect of others, but just because this in itself would give me pleasure. But now it looks like I will just live a completely normal life, if anything below average due to my looks. I have kind of lost motivation to achieve things in my life as I know I don't have genius level intelligence and thus I wouldn't succeed in any field. If 100s of geniuses couldn't figure out a scientific problem, neither will I. And outside of science and engineering I don't really have any aspirations. Maybe getting rich, but then again here too I lack the social skills/looks or intelligence to reach that either.

I think I'll just get surgeries and move to SEA and enjoy life. I don't have anything anymore I want to achieve in this life tbh

It takes time to get good at anything. Just find something you like and keep grinding.

Fuck friends and all that other bullshit, just focus on your passion
