Here's a simple trick - always have the last word, it is that easy, if you let him have the last word, even if his final argument is completely meaningless, he will think he has won. I got several times in some debates, both online and in real life, with some really stubborn people, and no matter how much I tried to convince them, they will always make an extra comment, and never let me have the final word.
