It'd be unfair of me to say "just be natural", so in other words, you'll naturally pick up on things to say over time. Unless you are neurodivergent, you can tell when the conversation drops and you can wrap it up. If there is a minute of silence in a conversation, sure it'd be awkward but the tension would bring someone to say at least something way before then.

Don't think about it or calculate in your head too much in advance. Like if I plan on what to say to a girl, it's easy for it to fall off after a few sentences back and forth because you're playing a mental game of ping-pong not knowing their response to each prompt.
