We have public dental care in my country. Check ups are saying that I "don't have any problems" even though I obviously have an overbite and a cross bite. Maybe even a narrow palate, I don't know, I just know that when I put my tongue in the mewing position that when I bite down my back teeth bite on my tongue.

I tried booking an appointment before for my bite problems but the system is not letting the assistant do it for me. I probably need a new "general check up". Shame that my parents are broke and can't afford private.

When I'm there, how can I lift my problems and tell my dentist so that I can get the help I need. Either through him backing my claims or through him giving me a referral to a guy who knows what he's talking about, like an orthodontist.

All info appreciated. I can answer questions if needed.

I mean depends on the issue. They cant scan for things like chronic pain. If I were you I would try my hardest, all or nothing. It's worth being embarrassed and forcing it over and over for the slim chance at surgery.

Look for symptoms and other signs that you do have narrow palate, overbite and cross bite. Document it then go to the dentist office directly, get referrals as well like ENT whatever you need. Then you get the referall to back what you say and get what you need done.

Alright that seems helpful, I'll do that for the next general checkup I got. Planning to call them so that they can book me one soon.

What if they say that my bite is "functional"? Like it does not hinder overall life, but it is not ideal. Do I here just larp too? Public system funded agencies are always greedy jews looking to pocket any kind of money they can do, hence why this is something not to ignore.

As its public care, it probably isn't seen as severe enough to have intervention as there are limited funds in the healthcare budget
You will probably need to go private

I'm afraid that when I eventually do get my money up, it'll be already too late for orthodontics. I am 17 after all, so I don't have a big window. Hence why I'm asking this. Thank you though

You can larp sleep apnea, don't sleep for days and show up then tell them about sleep apnea. Not medical advice by the way I am not a professional and you should consult someone with knowledge of the Swedish healthcare system and has experienced it.

Surgery is a really low chance, Like they reserve it Specifically for people past the age of Puberty to prevent Maxillary Relapse, and even in that case, you'll need a really obvious Recession (Lefort III case and absolutely no Slant from Browridge to Chin Line) to be able to get Operated on.

I would still recommend Larping to the Best of your Abilities, There was this one dude on tiktok who got MARPE due to his teeth getting damaged due to Narrow Palatte, You would be lucky to get it paid for under Insurance, even partially.

I larped Mouthbreathing for BAMP and got shutdown immedieatly, so I wouldn't recommend going that route, try sleep apnea?

They do tests for sleep apnea and it will be a long process for which you will eventually (most likely) get turned away.

At your age, most development for your skull is already finished so I dont think there would be any difference whether you got it now or at a later date. You also have a lot more options with money to achieve your desired looks if orthodontics dont suffice.

Alright, and yeah I know about cosmetic surgeries and I know like the tip of the iceberg for it but I read somewhere here that you're gonna have to fix your teeth and your bite too cause they're the core root of these issues. That's partially why I'm asking. The other is that I wanna ascend haha
