How do you guys cook your mince

If it's beef, I just throw it in a pan with water and salt/spices (maybe veggies) and then it boils while I do something else. Once the water is boiled out I have a decision to make about whether I want to eat it boiled, fried or somewhere inbetween and then cook/stop accordingly.
