How do you guys cope with a 9-5 job 5 days a week

Id rather be poor and have time to do things I want then to be slaving away 40hours a week + the commute to and from work everyday.
I have a good job and make around $90k a year now at age 23 but man I don’t know how people do this for 40 years.
This is not how life is supposed to be and we kind of all just accept it (general population, prob not most of u guys)

I work 3 twelve hour days a week and have 4 consecutive days off. My commute is only 12-15 minutes. $19 an hour is what I make but don't ask me what I make a year because I don't know or care. I don't think like that.

Shit nigga im so jelaous of you. I was born in a shitty balkan country with no welfare, you either have to work or you starve and cant pay bills so im forced to work shitty minimum wage job. I look up to other NEETers for choosing such ideal way of life, if i could i would NEET myself until i die from old age but alas, im forced to work due to my shitty poor country. 3.5 hours a week showering/grooming/getting dressed/etc
3.5 hours a week preparing food

Average in four weeks of vacation and 9 statutory holidays and you end up having on average around 76 hours a week to do whatever you want (averages almost 11 hours a day).

I commute hour and half each way everyday so that’s most likely why I’m miserable lol. But that’s where the pay is so it’s a tough choice

I actually get bored if I have too much time off.
My only hobby is scuba diving but you can only do that so frequently and for so long or you get the bends. You have to off gas nitrogen at some point.
I lift too but consider that just part of my wellness routine, like brushing my teeth, and don’t consider it a hobby.
I quit working for someone else and started working for myself and I actually like going to work.
I build things. Right now I’m flipping a restaurant. I’ve built docks, boat houses, sheds, playground equipment, a garage, a tiny house. It feels like meaningful work creating something.
Find something you find meaningful I guess. Working for yourself also helps big time. You’re still a slave because you have to work to live, but you get to choose what you do.

Yea well I guess that true lol. My job was described as a 9-5 when I applied. But in reality it’s 7:30-5:30 , sometimes a bit later. Then I also commute 90minutes both ways so it’s really 6am-7pm JFL. Literally not a life worth living
