Coping mechanisms are not useful.

Hopefully, with science / technology, we can get advanced cynbernetics and become transhumanists. I want to eventually replace my biological body with a superior robot body while sustaining my head and brain.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day, the crude biomass you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you, but I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death, I serve the Omnissiah.

Would you rather live forever ?
I would if that means that I stay in this exact state and if everyone I know remain the same age biologically as well and live forever with me.

proceeds to write a cope:
Perhaps, I misunderstood what a coping mechanism is. I thought that coping mechanisms are statements to the self to make one feel comfortable when the statements are not based on truth.

I think cybernetic transhumanism is not cope. We just need to sustain the head and brain. That requires blood supply and blood pressure. We already have external devices to add blood and affect blood pressure.

The hard part is removing the head without permanently losing consciousness and killing the individual in the process. You would also have to make the biological head interact with artificial components through nerve like structures.

This is also fair. Death seems near inevitable, so you might accept it instead of constantly fearing it. Knowing that there is nothing you can do about it. Instead, make the most good from this life that you have, and leave the world a better place for those that will come after us.

the more plausible the cope the more potent it becomes

this assumes that the technology will be developed and made available for public use without drawbacks in a reasonable timeframe, that you, specifically, will be able to access it, that global peace under a hegemonic cyberised government will form because there's no other way to sustain what is essentially an expensive drain on society while protecting the rights of the cyberised, that if an AI singularity forms it will have to be benevolent and respectful of human desires, that you will survive any and all conflicts which arise between now and then, and I'm assuming that this cyber-transferrence will lead to virtual immortality which will inevitably run out because of the inevitability of the heat death of the universe, which leads us back to the original question of how you'll cope with death in 100 septillion years

Well said my friend, death by fucking universal explosion or black hole sounds much more concerning then normal death in this day and age

I feel like I got my fear of death over with very early and now I’m sort of indifferent to it

Do you stress over the fact that a movie is going to end when you’re halfway through? Do you feel sorrow over the fact that you’ll eventually finish your meal upon savouring a few bites? Do you fret over losing someone when you are enjoying their company?

You can’t escape death. It is inevitable. Your best course of action is to make the most of the time you get, because you don’t get much. Your fear won’t change anything

Even though the fear won't change anything, that doesn't mean that it's not still there, lurking.
I can't cope with religion because I have pattern recognition good enough not to fall into that brainwash machine even though it's for sure the best cope you could possibly believe in, in terms of stressing yourself over death.

Fear is a suggestion
Fear is telling you to do something. It is information
Fear exists to keep you alive. Your fear of death is primal and exists to ensure you sustain your life no matter what
Quite frankly atheism is much more comforting than religion. An abrupt end and nothing else is more than tolerable. Eternity is far more terrifying

It’s the ultimate, inevitable destination for every living being. No need to fear it. Also I believe in a just, non Gaybrahamic afterlife
