As soon as I put on a high drop shoe my low back starts hurting then when I walk long periods in them I get knee issues, then I have to wear flatter shoes for a few weeks so that my back and knees feel better again. Right now my back and knees are 100% since I dropped high drop shoes but I want to know if there is anyway I can get away with wearing lifts and high cushion shoes without any issues? Anyone here had a similar experience and managed to fix it? I also tried like shoes with a shorter heel to toe drop but less cushion and still experienced some issues even though they were milder then with a higher heel drop.

Only wear them when you need

Stretch before you go out.

Find what doesnt mess up your hips as you walk.

Sounds like skill issue, been wearing it for over a year and dont feel anything wrong. Im so used to them that, not wearing it feels weirder than wearing it istg.

What’s the skill issue? What am I doing wrong exactly?

Those are hella expensive though
I know, but ive had "elevator" shoes before, and they all gave me knee pain and was "obvious" that it was a height booster shoe. If u choose the right coloring on hogan interactives no one can tell u use big shoes.

You don’t get any back or knee pain from these shoes?
Not with hogan interactives. I had a 2.5 inch elevator shoes and that was too much. Seems like the cutoff for me is 2 inches. anything past that and i get knee/back pain

Air max 2090 no pain?

Hey, for the hogan interactive do they bottom out like the cushioning gets lower then 2 inch height gain or has it stayed the same regardless of how many times u wear them?

They stay almost the same. The heel is of really good quality you will notice it when you wear it. I think it has lost at most 0.1mm, nothing like my air max for example which loses a noticeable amount of height quickly.

Do you know any other thick sneakers? Or could I be any sneakers that are just thick?

Like air max 2090. I also have those. They give exactly 1cm less height but are way cheaper. You can also look into custom built elevator shoes. I dont like them since anything over 2 inches makes me walk goofy. It seems like 2 inches is my max for comfortable walking and height boost.

Are you still able to lift weights and stuff like do legs? Squats and deadlifts become a pain as soon as I start wearing heighten shoes.

I only wear height shoes outside. At the gym I wear barefoot shoes due to athletic disadvantage wearing height shoes

Ye that’s what I mean, like wearing those height shoes on a daily basis it doesn’t affect ur lower back during workouts? Thats the main thing that pisses me off, I want to look taller but also want to have strong legs. The height shoes outside the gym I wear make my low back ache to point where doing squats and deadlifts become very hard to do. As soon as I wear like normal shoes like I have been for the past year I have zero issues

I think your body has a limit on how much height increase from shoes you can get without getting hurt. For me my limit is 2 inches anything over and it hurts.

Ye I’ve been dealing with this issue for a few years now it’s very annoying. Hopefully what ur saying works, I’m 5’10 so not too bad but that extra height to 5’11.5 or 6’0 really seems like it’s hard for me to get without issues. Hopefully this thick shoe shit works, cause it confuses me I see people wearing very chunky shoes and they never complain.

Would shoes that have a lot of cushioning but zero heel to toe drop be safe to wear too? Cause the sole is flat but has a lot of cushioning.

U mean something like hokas? I think so. And u can always try them out and see how it feels

Sorta but I mean something that is hefty cushion but there is a zero drop off between the heel and the toe, so ur foot sits flat in the shoe not angled.

I'd advice you to just try them And see how u feel. Me personally just ordered a new pair of hogan interactives at 290 USD because I'm very happy with them and my old pair of Hogans was 1cm too big (they use different sizing compared to Nike's)

loosen the front of your laces and put a sock under the soles at the front, to even out the angle

Did you happen to have back pain before and this helped?

Slightly yes. And anyway it makes sense because your feet are more flat at the front and it evens out with the height of the heel.

Atp might just do LL lol the pain isn’t worth it, shit so very annoying. And I’m 5’10 too.
took me months to fully adapt to wearing them in most shoes but nonetheless it probably fucked me in some way. At 5'10 its not worth it
