Sometimes before my college classes some people outside the class are talking. How am I supposed to join the conversation? Should I just say excuse me and justify why I want to speak or do I just speak when there’s a chance to? What am I supposed to talk about?

Over for you buddyboyo

If people want you to join they'll ask for your input. Simple as that

So are you supposed to stand near them and maintain occasional eye contact or something?

Other people in class.
Befriend them first. Don't just insert yourself in conversations. That can be taken as rude at worst or awkward at best. And no, this isn't a situation where being "based" will give you any advantages. Get comfortable with people 1 on 1 first before you just throw yourself into a group and pretend you're one of the guys. Even if people are nice to you while doing it, it doesn't boost your status in the group what the fuck so ever

This sounds like something a pedophile would do. I will just talk to them and if they show attitude will find a way to fight them after class.

You're the autist if u think you need them to invite you to talk to them.
you’ll seem autistic asf if u just join without anybody asking for ur input

In high school my opener for joining in on conversations was to eavesdrop a bit, then roast someone of that group and join in using the eavesdropped info.

You need status as a friendly social person (even if this just means being seen walking around smiling and greeting people) before joining in random conversations. If you’ve been in the same social environment for a while and failed to make a name for yourself then just start befriending people individually and gaining status that way. Then you can get lucky and slide into one of the conversations.

If they are talking about something you can contibute with just say it.

Example

Them: What's the result of the match?

Other dude: I don't know

You: Manchester United won 3-0

And keep talking about the match, that's easy.

If you can't contibute and they are talking about stuff you don't know just stay silent.
