How do you not hate being talked to???

Most of the time you don't even know what to say and look like an idiot or you're just not feeling like talking at all, you feel lazy to open your mouth and say words but you still have to. I like talking when I have a thought I want to express and I'm genuinely excited to share it, not when I'm being asked random questions and hearing things I'm not interested in saying anything back about. Being talked to when you're quiet and don't want to talk is low key one of the worst things.
