Can any STEMcels tell me how to properly analyse a science paper?

But how do you know if you're reading an accurate science paper that is relevant to what you're trying to prove?
check for the journal it was released it, what journals the authors regularly release in, look for citations of the paper and look for potential named criticisms. and optimally learn basic econometrics and look at the study methodology and see if you can spot errors.
