How do you sleep?

Do you just think "im gonna go to sleep" and close ur eyes and go into sleep
Or do you just rot until u realise youre gonna pass out and then go to sleep
I do the 2nd but would like to do 1st if i could

I notice the time and I go sleep. If I can not sleep I will still wake up at same time, it's not big deal for me If I dont sleep at night, I dont care so I fall asleep easy.

Thats what i would do when i was on meds
Now that i tapered off from them i have to do the 2nd

I basically wake up 20 times per night with a high pulse most of the time.
It’s frustrating, since you basically know, that brain- or general physical damage is unavoidable.
Yet my body won’t change.
I used to have sleep apnea but not anymore ( I got tested in lab twice). Maybe it’s linked to my ADHD and depression.
