how do you stop doomscrolling

anyone have any actual unique advise and not the typical slop you see on reddit or wherever tht says ", just don'ttt,,,, justtt pomodoro brooo"

Irronically go outside and move. More socially active and physically fit body is less prone to everyday slop

that's it, go out make some friends talk to people really thats it

how much do you have to move to attain this body that's resistant to slop?

i dm foids on twitter, i wish there an option that i can only access the dms and not get sucked into the for you/following page

that's it, go out make some friends talk to people really thats it
everything is online now dude, ppl make friends online , everything is fake and gay

For hours daily, but this will be difficult for you to get used, it will be easier and snowball later. Aim to go for 30min walks, do some of your hobbies outside, etc... I do calisthenics, sit down and think maybe listen to music in the park, when your brain gets dopamine from this it will beat the dopamine from scrolling and it will be also easier to control the urges. I still use social media and dating apps but doing it outside is unironically a different world than staying in your room all day

hard to go outside atm since it's soo cold outside, but thx for the advise

Make yourself busy

Put pressure on yourself to do stuff, you can do this by setting expectations for others (ex, making plans with people and telling them you'll be there at a specific time)

move the app somewhere far in a folder so its pain in the ass to open quick

Having friends "online only" is not the same as IRL friends at all

best way is to keep urself busy and dont lie down on ur bed unless ure ready to sleep. Using app blockers can help too
