Do they talk to and have friends with people who are technically Shudras?
I'm 1/4 Rajput/Kshatriya and 3/4 "upper caste" Naidu/Shudra. "Upper caste" in the sense that Naidus are socially dominant and used to be soldiers. Naidus hire priests for family gatherings, religious occassions and festivities. Normal Shudras don't. Also we have a Gotra/Vedic lineage.(we say "Vishnu gotra" when the priests asks us before performing archana or Puja)
