how can i tan effectively without a sunbed, there is literally no way to get uv exposure because the uv index here in winter is like 1.

They go near the sun. Like the actual real sun. And get fried there. Trust me, the tan will turn out great

Other way around.

Either self tanner, or MT1/MT2, sunbeds, and could supplement with carotenoids. carotenoids won't really tan you but they will give you skin a more subtle orange skin tone.
