You will be served by the court. The restraining order is not valid until then. If you never get served, then she was bullshitting you and she didn't actually file for one.

Usually by mail, you'll be notified about it and the court date. You'll only have to go to court for a more serious restraining order. For a lesser one it's just a notification by mail, and these are usually temporary.
