How does anyone get away with crime?

Here in London I feel like if I done some sort of crime there will always be a trail of security cameras from any location back too my house I guess it’s just cause of police laziness or not being able to access the cams

There is a camera everywhere u walk so how do people get away with so much tho like maybe it’s cause it’s too much time but what about big crimes like murders there should always be a trace of videos leading anywhere
