Title.

Does it increase the gonial angle (jfl for that question) ?

If yes, is it because the surgeon cuts off a part of the maxilla, making your face look shorter? Or they do it without botching the maxilla + making your ramus longer. Answer pls:feelswah:

Doesnt change gonial angle but changes mandibular plane

So, a patient’s face is underdeveloped, which would have a ~100° gonial angle and OKaish forward growth if developed correctly, and instead got 120-130° with chin recession will just get lengthened by surgery?

picture below to understand.

Im not really understanding

Let's take this subhuman picture for example, obviously the jaw will be extended with DJS.

What about the ramus placement?

The jaw is still underdeveloped in terms of CCW rotation, which he would get had he developed.
Could they do something with the green area of joint, perhaps detaching it and thus lenghtening ramus?

So the outcome of the of the surgery will be like my morph below? If yes, still looks subhuman because of ramus and ccw, just lengthened.
