how does facial hair look good on some people and not on others?

for me, whenever I let my beard grow, it looks horrible on me, any facial hair looks ugly on me
I've had a goatee in the past for a while but nowadays I just clean-shave every morning. even the slightest darkness or beard growth makes me look bad.
I've wondered why a beard or facial hair looks good on some people and bad on others.
because it has nothing to do with bone mass or structure of the face: i know some fat people who suit a beard, some thin people who suit a beard, some don't and some do. I don't. whys this?

i wouldnt say 'cute' but yes, im really bloated with soft ass cheeks which i have no idea how to fix and im from south asia. the people here don't have bad beard genetics like most of them suit beards but I don't so due to this bs I have to shave on a daily basis

well the oil there you guys use is bad and also try so avoid salt if your still under 17 and sugar aslo i think your sitution is genetic and also water retention cause im also form central asia my whole family they look masculine and im the only one with cutecel

I know many boneless people with beards and they look great, while some look ass, from what I found out it's about genetics. but what genetics.. like why does it cause that? some people even with patchy beards look good

I think that whether or not a beard looks good on someone is really dependent on their archetype

It depends on your phenotype, it depends on your skin color. If you have dark skin and a beard, it looks even worse. Ultimately, the only ideal facial hair you should have by age 25-28 is eyelashes, eyebrows, and head hair.
