Can someone give me the science behind hydrocortisone nose shrinking?

gets into the skin cells
hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid, and so can diffuse into skin cells and bind to glucocorticoid receptors
It alters gene activity
The receptor moves into the nucleus of the cell and alters the proteins that the cell produces
It reduces the production of inflammatory chemicals
decreased inflammation
Blood vessels become less porous
Fluid leakage into surrounding tissue is reduced
The white blood cells do not work as well in this area
The tissue appears less swollen
If you have a little bit of inflammation or fluid retention in your nose, reducing that can make it look a little slimmer
