how does it make you fell that old people, who you pay taxes to via pension, don't want you to own house near them - NIMBY

In many countries, pension age is 60 for women and 65 for men.
Average life expectancy is reaching 80, meaning that they will be taking YOUR money for 15-20 years, while advocating for cheap labor and no more house buildings near them (which, along with bad housing policy makes housing insanely expensive).
I honestly have no respect for the "elders".
A lot of them got married, got decent jobs, etc, etc because they just got lucky here and there.
Even average loser millennial is 5x more hardworking and smarter than them, despite knowing that everything is slowly becoming worse
(inflation, housing prices, leverage workers have, layoffs, automation).

Got to say, I've recently took their mindset, mindset of "I've got mine".

I've decided to remove Politics from all of my social medias I use (Youtube, Instagram).
A lot of people get angry when you say you've distanced yourself from purposeless negativity like politics or mainstream news, saying "how dare you! Do you know what ICE is doing?" or "do you know what wokies are doing to our country"
It's like... dude... You've got no power there. At best vote if actually good candidate comes, but that's unlikely too.
In US, only Andrew Yang was decent candidate, but he got like 5% of the votes lmao It's over.
Bernie, despite being socialist, also had some decent ideas, but he lost too. "Democratic" party undemocratically backstabber him and choose Hillary instead.
And right wingers have no other good options from what I've seen.
And in other countries, situations are very similar.
Exposing yourself to negative news and what I would call
shallow politics (not reading high quality book, but instead watching some video/clip that's usually in bad faith too)
is just going to steal your peace, trust me on this.
Boomer mindset of "I've got mine" and focusing on yourself is actually cure to all this, along with cleaning your Instagram and Youtube algorithms.
Instagram by finding hard to find "algorithm" section and take out political tags that got attached to you, Youtube by unsubscribing and blocking every political Youtuber, including bp ones, and then cleaning your history (including all the comments you've ever posted, since those count in algorithm too.)
Ever since I've done this, my focus, peace, cortisol, even hunger, all came down massively.

Isn't this what's happening in Australia rn. Generations who have benefited from historical housing growth. Old people that have bought up all property and refuse to budge so everything is expensive so people don't want to do jobs and take welfare from centrelink so the government has to import immigrants

Happening in everywhere. USA, UK, Australia, Canada.

Old people's biggest pride is where they live and how much their houses have risen in value.
They also want to live like teenagers at old age, so they take all the pension and job money and do things like travel at 70 and when they're home, they just hire illegals for cheap.
They virtue-signal all day, but then would rather pay 20$ to an illegal than 35$ to a legal American (of whatever ethnic background, idc). And Illegal will take that deal because they're struggling and living in house with 3 other illegals.
Most short term, I've got mine, people I've ever seen are all old people.
Most intelligent and wisest people I've seen have been surprisingly gen-x. Many of them ethnics too.

Best housing plan would be to dismantle HOA and such organizations, de-regulate housing market in a really smart way, and government itself also building affordable housing so that both government and free market build tons of housing.
This is not gonna happen because it would crash housing market, which will anger old people and possibly cause recession.

with modern meds, like glp-1s, etc.
They might live to 90s. Just enough time sign a deal trading their 700K house for retirement home to Blackrock or similar companies.
By the time many of them are dead and smart gen-x guys are in charge, it will be 2035-2040. And good policies will take 5-10 years to show results.
