Whilst they don't remove them entirely they can sometimes make them a bit less pronounced by tugging the skin to the side

Joe Niamtu (a surgeon who specialises in cheek implants) also mentions that this is sometimes a result in this vid here (timestamp included)


Malar implants are a good idea if your midface area is boneless but if your midface isn't boneless then it's best to treat the nasolabial folds directly

Some cheek filler can have good results if placed correctly but I personally wouldn't want to constantly maintain that

Much like cheek implants cheek filler only looks bad if you fill the submalar region

So to answer, yes, but I prefer long term results

Fillers do the same when sufficiently volumized.

It does not remove the NFs at all. What it does is changing the geometry of the cheek, so that the folds become less pronounced.

The problem with this is that the crease literally remains of the same depth AND males are not supposed to do this, because reducing NFs will invariably require the modification of the submalar area, which is what males should avoid unless you want to look like Epply experiment.

Note his examples involve only women.

Absolutely

Nope. It is just playing with lights and angles.

There was a scientific paper which measured the reduction of NFs when using cheek augmentation (and if it can compete with the facelift). The result was exactly 0, Zero, ZEE-E-ERRRR-O-O quantitative improvement in the depth of NFs.
