Being drunk does not help you ascend at all. It's prevented me from getting laid several times.

If you want to get laid at a bar, just say hi to girls. They will tell you to buy some alcohol, make you drink it and then take you home if they are attracted to you. Sometimes they won't even make you drink alcohol they just start making out with you or other things. If a girl makes eye contact with you, then say hi to her, she'll do the rest of the conversation work.
