How efficient is orthodontic work post puberty?

I am wondering whether Twin Block orthodontic treatment is still effective after puberty from an aesthetic standpoint. Since it guides the lower jaw forward to correct an overbite, I want to know if it can still noticeably improve facial profile and jaw appearance once growth is mostly complete.


I am currently still in development, so if the twin blocks are useless post puberty i’ll get them as soon as possible.

After puberty they still allign teeth and create a better bite correction but it wont do anything to your maxilla if its done after puberty. If youre still in a late puberty stage it might create some forward mandibular growth stimulation

My maxilla is fine tbh, I want them to correct my bite and push my mandible forward as much as possible then get a genioplatsy. Do you think that’s a good plan?

If youre 15 it will definetely help moving the mandible forward depending obviously on what type of bite you have. But 15 is a good age and the bone cells are usually still active.
