Measured my waist this morning and it was 32 inches. I'm 5'9 tall.

36 inches is ideal

That’s crazy at low bodyfat percentage
its not unachievable im exactly 32 and im 6'1 184lb

my hip is kinda big though at 36 1/2 so i dont have that v taper everybody wants, more of an hourglass

waist size should be proportional to hip size. if your hips are wide, then your waist should not be too slim.

Im also 5'9 ( 177-178cm) but my hips are pretty wide (33inch) so i have to keep my waist around 32'.

Mine is 28in/72cm at 6'1/185.3cm, while I have a 10in/26cm waist span. My bideltoid is 20.5in/52cm untrained.

What's ideal for my height you think?
Yours is already okay. My bodily ratios are ideal so I'd just apply them to your height. For know calculate how many % the value 26 is of 185.3, and then you need a waist span so that you have the same % for your height. That only makes sense if there's a scientific correlation between both of those features though.
Waist span is more important than circumference. Low lattisimus insertions would throw the waist measurement off, or fat in the lower back area.

think my waist span could be smaller?

my waist is 29 at 5'11,not sure if this is good ,bad or average

It also depends on how much you weigh. Contrary to popular belief, the waist also grows as you add muscle (about 1 cm for every 4.5 kg of lean mass), even if the body fat percentage stays exactly the same. It's not much but it can be noticeable if you add 20 kg of muscle.

Calculators even include that https://planetcalc.com/184/

What part of the hips did you measure at?

tbh i’d imagine it’s more complicated than just waist measurement alone

built upper body & narrow hips and would make 32 inch waist mog a 29 inch waist on someone else with shit proportions
