How hard is to to get (and keep) a GF?

I just came to the realization I never had a real gf. I've only had ONS and FWB relationship, but nothing where I could say "she's mine".

Any tips? Getting a gf doesn't seem too hard but keeping one seems difficult. Do I basically have to be a jester and continuously entertain her or else she leaves? I don't want to put up and act for someone for so long.

both are pretty hard to do, but i'd say getting one to be loyal is harder, depending on your looks level
