So there are different types of PDO threads, the type I used and they type that really everyone uses when trying to get hooded eyes are cogs, there easy to identify because unlike the other kinds cogs wrap around the needs.
Before using any PDO threads an important thing to do if anyone is thinking about doing this is to look at vane and nerve maps for your face to make sure you don’t hit one cos it’s gonna be very painful and can lead to other issues. Before inserting the threads I used some baby wipes to sterilise the area I was gonna be inserting them and I washed my hands.
When I was inserting the threads I made sure that the angle I was going to insert them was correct otherwise they could go to far up and enter your brow area or go to low and exit through the lower part of your skin, I found it was easier to get the initial prick of the needle done and from there it was relatively painless going in on my right side I don’t feel any pain until the needle was fully inserted and on my left it was more of just a dull pain nothing really over the top but obviously that’s going to change depending on different cases. Once they where fully inserted you twist the stump of the needle witch is generally yellow pink or blue to detach the thread from the needle, I did a full 360° turn on each needle to make sure they where fully detached and the you pull the needle out, this was also painless and then I wiped down the area again just to be safe.
Results from the threads are supposed to grow over time and they can stay fully intact for about a year to 18 months before they start to degrade so you do have to re do them and you can do more than one a time per side I chose not to because it’s my first time and I didn’t wanna risk botching myself. Cog threads are known for producing cologne in the area and can make the area look fuller, bellow are photos of before during and after, results are minimal but it has only been about half an hour since I did them and it’s minimally invasive so you can’t expect getting anything to crazy but I’ll update on any results or complications if necessary further down the line.
I am not teaching people how to do this, there are probably mutch better ways this is just the way I learned to do them so if you are gonna do them do your own research to be safe.
