HOW I RECOVERED FROM 8ML AQUALYX IN 2,5 DAYS (NEW INFORMATION)
One of the main drawbacks of aqualyx is the long recovery: Why Lipovela TeraMogs Aqualyx
Most people take between 5 days to 2 weeks to get back to their baseline (pre-aqualyx) which of course limits the ROI a lot.
I figured that most people just do not recover correctly, so I wanted to use my knowledge from previous surgeries (fat grafting to the eye area/liposuction) to see how fast I can recover from 8ml aqualyx. I did 4ml under the chin and 2ml each cheek.
I ended up taking only 1 night + 2 days to recover to a point where noone could tell I did anything (even though my initial swelling the first morning was as bad as it gets).
So, if you follow this guide correctly, you can inject one whole vial of aqualyx on friday, and look normal again on monday.
Afterwards you will still continue looking better day by day, but you won't look like you got stung by a bee for a whole week.
1. HYDRATION!!!
Aqualyx creates a inflammatory response, which is what causes most of the swelling. YOU NEED TO STAY HYDRATED to clear the fat/byproducts from the treated area.
Drink as MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN (i drank 4+ liters per day).
2. CHIN COMPRESSION STRAP!!!
SO you will want to buy is this: (chin compression strap)
Put this on 30 minutes after injection and wear it 24/7.
The constant pressure helps support the swollen tissue while the inflammation is at its highest.
Make sure it's snug, NOT insanely tight.
3. ICE
Cold compress 10 to 20 min at a time (i did 5 sessions per day). Its very easy to do since you can just put the cooling pad in your compression strap, dont even need to hold it.
4. ARNICA CREAM
Get some arnica gel/cream and apply it to the injected areas, 1x in the morning and 1x before bed.
Let it absorb before puttin the compression strap back on.
Arnica helps your body do lymphatic drainage without you having to massage your skin.
5. WALKING/MOVEMENT
Light movement keeps your circulation going and supports normal lymphatic movement.
I stayed inside and just did laps (for 30mins) in my apartment because it was too hot outside (and i didnt want to go outside).
6. NO HEAT
Heat increases blood flow and can make the swelling/redness worse.
7. NO BLOOD-THINNING / ANTI-INFLAMMATORY STUFF
Aqualyx disrupts fat-cell membranes, which naturally triggers a local inflammatory response. So suppressing that response immediately after treatment will interfere with the intended recovery process.
I avoided things that interfere with the inflammatory response or can increase bruising:
8. SLEEP
Water but high quality sleep is of course insanely important for recovery as well.
Try to get 9+ hours and sleep with your head elevated to help minimize fluid buildup while you're lying down.
During the day, just chill most of the time, you are recoverying. Dont go out doing stressful stuff.
DIY Aqualyx is not safe or recommended. Injecting the face carries real risks, including infection, asymmetry, tissue damage and vascular complications.
Do your own research, understand the risks, and don't treat forum posts as medical instructions.
Yes I used some of the syringes twice because i didnt have enough left

Other Aqualyx aftercare guides recommend light UC/cavitation after treatment, you can do that but only after you are at baseline again. (I didn't)
