I don't mind DNR because this shit is pure retard rambles. Since I was 12, I played Super Smash Bros. competitively. Definitely my biggest regret as I spent every waking moment on this bullshit. I played Brawl on Wii with a friend as a kid so much, so that's how I got into it after getting the 3DS for X-Mas. I got into the community and watched a lot of guides and started watching the tournaments. I played sweaty on "For Glory" and applied what I learned analyzing sets from top level players like ZeRo, Trela, Tweek, etc, there. There were so many stupid nights where I spent countless hours farming nobodies online, a few where I got so stressed and enraged. I got some online friends in that space. I had a kinda chopped black friend who landed a beautiful white HTB HQNP artsy online GF. I don't know how he did it but I still think about that girl. Unfortunately, since I was a kid, I didn't get a Wii U until a few X-Mas's later, but I crashed out on my cousin when he easy ragebaited me soon after he stood in front of the screen while I was playing and I punched a hole in the door, so it got taken away, so I didn't have a lot of experience with online play and I didn't have a GameCube controller, so I couldn't just go to events to plug in and play. I know this player WaDi didn't own the console and still went on to climb the ranks. I got a Switch for X-Mas and did the same with Ultimate. I played online, but didn't go to local tournaments because my lazy ass didn't work for the license and didn't grind on wifi because I didn't have a good setup. I joined the school eSports club and joined their Smash team, but the 2 times I went to tournaments with them, I drowned in pools. I was just proven to be a low effort fraud. I think I had high level potential, but I never put in work. That's still true to this day for most things I say I'll do. Around July 2021, there was a whole scandal that rocked the community in which many top players, commentators, creators, etc, were proven to be pedos and rapists. You can watch the Youtuber "Technicals" if you GAF. That's about when it started to set in that I had a subhuman hobby. ZeRo, the best Smash 4 player and won like 50 consecutive tournaments, was still an obese loser at the end of the day. He's been open about how he was treated by women. Ever since he left that community, he became a gymcel and seems to be better ever since he left a game that doesn't even have official backing or financial reward. Sakurai, the creator of the series, and Nintendo have always been against the more competitive scene unlike how Capcom or Namco treats SF & Tekken respectively and major level events in Japan can't host prize pools because it's considered "gambling" there. Biggest waste of time in my life, but I'd come back if they finally added a Resident Evil character
