seen a lot of discussions about this subject and mixed feelings about it , this is personally how i stopped fapping completely how the effect it had on my life in general
how i stopped fapping :
- for context , i used to fap at least 1-2 times a day basically since i was 15 and stopped completely for 3 months , a lot of people tell you to stop but don't tell you how to stop , personally how i did it was by exposing my brain to porn but not mastubarting , so i would put on a porn video purposely but force myself to not touch myself in any way , this helped me put a message in my brain that lustful content ≠ self pleasure . repeating that everyday for a week i didn't have impulses to go watch porn anymore , while i would still have lustful thoughts , i didn't have the urge to act on them anymore , and after a month i didn't have those lustful thoughts at all anymore .
what did it change :
- i'll start by saying not masturbating will not magically attract girls to you or make you a superhuman like some people make it seem to be . but there's definitely benefits : way more motivation in general , you think less about girls -> less depressed , definitely a certain boost in confidence since you will be proud of not fapping anymore , freeing your mind for porn is definitely one of the best step you can make towards a healthier outlook on life .
what i'm going to change in the future :
- but i'll add that i will change my model because i haven't fapped in 3 months but i also haven't had sex in 3 months , and as young man feeling horny and having sexual pulsions is normal and you have to release some of that sexual energy from time to time . i think i'll start fapping once every 2 weeks but still with no porn , i still think porn is one of the biggest poison to your mind and it ruin the perception you have of women and if you're already an incel it will send you into an even deeper pit of depression . but i think releasing from time to time machinally is not a bad thing , because not having any sexual stimulation at all can be as bad as self pleasuring too much .
