I have improved a decent bit and got my areas of life in good order. Now how important is it to have a social life? being a maturecel has greatly reduced the amount of fun I used to have and the number of girls I could meet earlier.

Idk how either ngl. It's kinda hard to find those that aren't shitty. I'm in a good position rn, but that's because I've maintained my circle. If you already cultivated a good circle, I noticed bringing people in also brings their connections. Maybe do that unless you really are alone

I meet a lot of people at work, the gym and at uni, it's just that forming something actual with them is so hard.

I think Jim Rohn puts it best when it pertains to relationships, you have to tend your relationships like tending to a garden. Most people at your age will already have like a friend group already, so they are not actively trying to be friendly, because as you can tell, it take effort. I find the best way to break in is to either be high energy or be personable (which requires you to take the risk of not being PC).

RN I am kind of in the same boat as well. I am in the middle of career transition so I don't know anyone from work and I am old enough to where me and my high school friends grew apart.

I mean't possibly being politically incorrect, basically making the first move away from small talk topics. If you still connect with the high school friends then you should just work from that social circle standpoint especially if you guys have not grown apart.
