Tbh maybe I misunderstood you . But from what I've seen , there's strong correlation between mandible length (forward growth) and stretched hyoid muscles (tongue further appart from neck) and thus higher hyoid position and more tight submental and jawline.
Look at this picture , it seems that his hyoid bone position raised and the muscles stretched

A 100% accurate measurement is inly possible with ct scan I believe , but you can take flexible ruler tape out and measure from the gonial to the midle of the chin. I forgot your side profile , I believe you had good mandible length
