As someone who lives Midwest area of the U.S, school shootings are rare yeah but their common enough that there’s legit lockdown drills we’ve had to do in high school over the course of the year. Also common enough where one tweet threatening the school can mean no school for the next day or two for investigations lol. It’s a real threat and people are right to be scared tbh
