If the internet shut down for whatever reason do you still have your crypto? Or is it lost beyond salvage?

I don't understand how crypto is better than cash (unless used temporarily). Cash can be useless in a matter of days if something happened, crypto is the same. You don't have crypto without internet (as far as I understand). Cash can lose all of its value if a war happened.

Why not invest in stuff that will be valuable forever? Like land, gold or trees?

The only downside of crypto is that it basically has no value or law behind it assigning it value.

Other than that it’s way more secure than anything else.

Why would we have no internet? Besides that crypto can work with Bluetooth as well.

Why would we have no internet is the same question as (asking in January 2020) "why would I get fired for not wearing a mask? Go away conspiracy cuck"

You clearly don’t have any technical understanding of what the internet is

But the idea of blockchain or rather crypto combats exactly your concerns. Namely centralized systems. Blockchain work dezentralized. As Long as People have any from of bluetooth, wlan, radio, internet whatever you can have crypto

Land gold and trees are the same as money unless you have it at home and can defend it.

And gold is the same as money

They have value and can never lose value. Crypto and cash can lose value. Defending your property and belongings is a different topic.

Once there's no access to the internet then your bitcoin is gone boyo. You won't be able to access it.

No that’s wrong. But I really can’t be arsed to explain how blockchain works to you. What the internet is and what dezentralized systems are.

Besides that the whole premise of we have no internet is unrealistic and I don’t think you know what the Internet actually is. As Long as we have any way of transmitting information we have internet. I can’t think of any plausible reason how that can happen.

And as someone said. If that truly was the case we have other issues

Crypto functions.
1. Store of value.
2. Means of exchange, payment.
3. Easily moveable/transportable (even toother end of the world in seconds).

Do your 3 mentioned options, gold, land, trees.
have all 3 of those functions all at once?

it isn't, everyone's just lying to themselves so the bubble won't burst :ogre:

nothing is safe
