It is an argument against a loving god that answers prayers. Let's take a situation that has nothing to do with looks....you have two children that get childhood leukemia. Both children have Christian parents that pray for their healing. Both sets of parents pray fervently for their child to recovery.

One child recovers. His leukemia goes away and he has no long term complications. The other child takes a turn for the worse and dies.

If God is real and loves everyone, why would he let one child die while healing the other one? Why would god spare one set of parents from losing a child while letting another set of parents lose a child? If a loving god that answers prayer is real, it doesn't make sense

If that god isn't real, it makes complete sense. There are various factors that can explain why one child died and the other lived. Perhaps the child who lived was diagnosed earlier, maybe he had a stronger immune system, maybe his parents could afford better treatment. But it has nothing to do with a god or prayer.
