I said some extremely controversial stuff on Quora.

Getting doxxed was extremely bad. I could have been fired from my job, never been able to get a job again, and gotten disowned by my family if I hadn't deleted my account (thus deleting all my content) shortly after getting doxxed.

Hell, I could have even been murdered.

If you have a respectable job in a western country yeah. I doubt much would happen to some low level worker in a third world country. People outside of the US and Western Europe care much less about woke shit.

And here's the thing: Even in western countries, employers don't necessarily care if you merely hold the beliefs. Employers just don't want to be publicly associated with taboo beliefs.

For example, I vocalized a lot of my extremist beliefs at a past job. Even my boss knew about my beliefs. He never fired me, never threatened to fire me, and never even so much as told me to stop.

Because as long as I merely shared my beliefs among coworkers, I didn't hurt the company's image (whereas if I attended, say, a KKK rally, and then got doxxed as an employee of xyz company, that'd hurt the company's image)
