I just chew the same stuff I did before. It's much better when it's already chewed, I hate getting a new piece of mastic takes hours to chew it up properly and it sticks to teeth like glue at first.
So for me it'd last for a very long time.

It's not that expensive if you can find it at an actual store. Buying it online is way too much, look for a Greek/Turkish import store and see what you can find there

Anywhere really. On a plate or something. Didn't try fridge, but when you "rechew" it again, it's a solid crystal like and starts shattering at room temp. might be crazy if cold, idk.
